SimNavLog is free to use, and the whole flight-planning part of it is going to stay that way. This page is here to answer the two questions that follow: what does signing up add, and what would paying ever be for?

SimNavLog is a hobby project for flight simulation only. It is built by non-pilots and must not be used for real-world flying.

There is nothing to buy today, and nothing here is a purchase:

Nothing is held back for it today — everything SimNavLog does now is free, and stays free
It would pay for the server, the domain, the mail and the hours
Features that cost real money to run are what it will open when they arrive — hosted AI, higher limits, the things a free tier cannot carry
A fixed amount for a set time. Never a subscription that renews behind your back
Expect a few euro a month, or less when bought for longer

It is listed because a ceiling stated in public is what makes "free" a decision rather than a phase.

Two promises

The single-flight nav log stays free. Planning, calculating and printing a flight is what this application is for. That is not going behind a payment, with or without an account.

Nothing that shipped free is ever moved behind payment. Something new may one day be paid for. What you can already do today, you will still be able to do.
